Update on the Busy Month
My brother Easton got home from his mission on January 26th and we went to the airport to meet him. It was the first time he was going to meet Daci so we had to get her all dressed up :) This is us waiting at the bottom of the escalators for him.
This is Rick showing Daci where Easton would be coming down the escalators from. Unfortunately, we waited and waited and waited and no E. All of the other Elders and passengers from his flight had already come down the escalator and no E! We waited some more and FINALLY he comes strolling around the corner. He got lost and went to the wrong terminal! So funny now but at the time, not so funny. Pretty sure my mom was about to have a heart attack :)
Still waiting....
Finally! When we saw him walking down the hall my mom ran and gave him a HUGE hug. So precious :)
The Sunday after he got home he gave his Homecoming talk at church. Afterward we had a huge party at my parents house. This is mom and I, so happy that he is home.
Easton and Daci (and her balloon!). Easton says he is already her favorite uncle :)
Our little fam with E
On Wednesday this week my brother Tannon had a signing day party. He was recruited by Southern Utah University (my alma matter!) to play quarterback for them when he returns from his mission. There were four other football players that were offered scholarships and were all going to be signing their papers as well. They each had huge signs and cakes made for them. A bunch of family and friends of the players gathered and watch them sign their papers and then we all had cake.

Tannon, Me, Daci and Easton after T signed his papersThis has been an eventful and exciting month! We are so grateful for our families and all the blessings we have in our lives. We are also grateful that Daci has so many people that love her. Her grandparents, her uncles, her aunts, her great-grandparents, her parents and all of our friends. We love you all!

Daci's December
With the first snow of the year Rick just HAD to take Daci out in the sled. It was so cute watching him drag her around the backyard on this cute, old-fashioned sled. Daci doesn't have a snow suit so we dug out an adorable one that Penny used with all of her kids (can you say 80's?) when they were about 4 years old :) The arms and legs were about two feet longer than the end of her hands and feet. It was hilarious to see her in it. Also kind of sentimental since Rick wore it when he was little :)

Daci's First Christmas
Christmas Eve night she opened a present from my Grandma (Daci's great-grandma). She absolutely LOVED the book!It was so much fun to have Christmas with a little one. I'm sure they will be even more fun once she gets older and knows what is going on more. We hope you all had a great Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
We decided that we would do a sort of "e-Christmas card" via our blog for our friends to see. Here is our family photo and our Christmas Newsletter is posted below (you will need to click on the image in order to see it big enough to read). We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. We are grateful for each and everyone of you in our lives! Love, The Roberts

Exciting News!
Rick is in his final year at BYU where he is studying Information Systems, he will graduate in April. Since August he has been applying and interviewing left and right for a good job for when he graduates. He has done really well but unfortunately in this economy not many people are hiring and if they are they are only taking one or two out of a hundred or so applicants. Well, we are excited to announce that last Friday he got an amazing job offer from Pariveda Solutions, an IT Consulting Firm and we will be moving to Chicago in June. We are very excited! I am a little nervous, being the Utah girl that I am, but I know it is what is best for our family. Rick is really excited because Chicago is where he served his mission and he absolutely loves the city and the people. After we got the news we went out to celebrate at Carrabbas (so good!), Daci loved eating the big-girl food :)

9 Months already?!
She went to the Dr's today. She is in the 91st percentile for height at 29 inches long! Wow, she is tall! She has slimmed down a bit and is now in the 59th percentile for weight at 19 lbs 4 ounces.
She still has hardly any hair....except for her mullet in the back. Her back hair seems to be the only part of her head that grows! She points at everything and still likes to wave, but only when she feels like. She refuses to wave when we actually want her to :) Sometimes she thinks she can stand and walk all by herself and she will let go of the couch and turn to us to walk and then topple over. Silly girl :)
