Studio J Layouts

So, most everyone knows that my mom is the queen of scrapbook, and once I had Daci I developed a passion for it as well.  I am very proud to say that I have kept very caught up on our life and have it all well documented since Rick and I met all the way up until this new year.  I like to do a book for each year, so this week I have been wrapping up my 2010 book and realized I had about 8 layouts that I needed to finish up for 2010.  I LOVE to scrapbook by hand, but I knew it would take me quite a while to finish those layouts by hand and I wanted to get them put in the book so I can start on my already accumulating 2011 pictures and events I have to scrap.  My mom is a consultant for Close To My Heart so I have always just used Close To My Heart products and I LOVE them!  Well, they just came out with a new digital scrapbooking program called Studio J.  I decided to try it, even though I felt like I was "cheating" on my handmade scrapbooking :)  I fell in love with this as well! I was able to get adorable layouts done really fast and finish up my book in just a few short hours, rather than days!  I am now completely sold on Studio J and digital scrapbooking and am very excited to use it as a supplement to my regular scrapbooking!

If any of you are interested in trying it out, it is completely FREE to play around with.  Just head on over to my mom's website, click on Studio J, and create an account. Like I said, It's TOTALLY FREE TO PLAY. Create as many layouts as you want. There is absolutely no charge unless you love it and want to purchase a membership and the layouts you created!  My mom also has a great blog, if you are interested in seeing some amazing scrapbooking and handmade cards!

Here are a few "flashbacks" to the past.  I can't believe how much Daci changed in a year!  The first layout is from when she moved to her big girl carseat at 11 months in January 2010. And the second one is when she took her first steps, the day after her first birthday.  The pictures are from her one year check up, she walked just about an hour after these pics were taken.  If you are interested in reading the journaling or want to see anything in detail, you can just click on the picture.  Enjoy!

Awwwww, thanks for the plug for my business, Korubug! You are the best. I love what you did with Studio J. Isn't it so fast and easy? Like you, I'll never give up my hands-on traditional scrapbooking, but I thing that and Studio J go hand in hand! Love you!

Korinne I'm super interested in your layouts! So the ones you posted are they the digital kind? They look handmade! I feel overwhelmed with how much I have to do in order to catch up especially with two kids. Digital may just be the answer to my dilemma.

darling!! i've always been a do-it-by-hand scrapbooker and i have yet to try the digital thing. for one thing - i LOVE when i can sit down, make a mess, and just scrapbook for hours. for another - i feel like i already spend way too much time on the computer. maybe one of these days i'll have to give it a try though :)
