37 Weeks

6 Days....and COUNTING!  I can't believe that in 6 days I will be getting induced and soon after that I will get to hold my babies!  Oh, and what may be just as equally exciting is that I will not have a ginormous ball sticking off of my abdomen anymore!  I'm not gonna lie, the last few weeks have been ROUGH.  I literally feel like my organs have been squished to pancakes and they aren't functioning correctly anymore.  I also feel like my round ligaments have completely stretched past their limits and may never go back to their normal size. I don't know how it is possible to grow more than two babies...I have a new found respect for women who carry 3+ babies!

I turned 37 Weeks yesterday.  My non-stress test went great this week again and my regular OB appt also went well.  I am dilated to a 3+ (bigger than three, but not quite four), I am at 46 lbs in weight gain so far, and the surprising (or not so surprising) statistic is that I am measuring 44 weeks.  Ah!  Last week I was measuring at 42 weeks.  I knew I had grown a bunch this week.  All of my maternity shirts are belly shirts :(  There is only like one shirt left that I can wear without showing an inch of skin at the bottom.  I am constantly pulling them down and have given up on jeans all together.  I live in the same two sweatpants. Oh boy, am I ready to have my tummy shrink :)  I know that having the babies on the outside of me brings a whole new set of problems and stresses and discomforts, but bring them on!  I'm done with this set of discomfort :)

I know I complain a lot, I really shouldn't say anything, I'm just trying to document what it was like for future reference because I know Heavenly Father has a tricky way of making you forget it all :)  In all seriousness though I am SO grateful for how smoothly this pregnancy has gone.  I could have had a lot of problems with my Lupus and carrying twins and I know that many, many prayers have been answered.  As hard as it is to carry two big babies (doctors are projecting 7lbs each), I couldn't be more happy that they are healthy and have developed properly.

Funny story: My mom's friends were looking at my blog and one of her friends said, "It looks like she is carrying a torpedo!" Hahaha!  I thought that was the perfect description!

Whelp, here it is....my 37 week picture.  The next, and last, picture I will have of me with a belly will most likely be right before I deliver.  I'm guessing that I will look pretty scary in that one, because I won't have been able to get ready like I do for these :)

This one isn't as pretty of a background, but you can see how far my belly hangs out from where my legs are.  How am I standing?

I think you look absolutely beautiful! And, it wasn't a torpedo, but a missile. I guess that's pretty much the same thing. I thought it was a perfect description. I don't know how you are standing either!

Girl you are ALL babies! It's not fair you look so good. I seriously feel pain when I see how far your belly has had to stretch. I thought one 7 pounder was uncomfortable but you have TWO! amazing. You better post soon after they are born because I'm going to be so anxious to hear about them and see pictures! Good luck!!! Aahhh soon you'll have 3 kids!:)
