Family-less!

Well, I am family-less, and have been since Friday night.  Rick had a business recruiting trip out at BYU this week. About a week ago I made a sarcastic comment after a long, hard week with my adorable little one: "Why don't you take Daci with you?" He decided he liked that idea.  He wanted to give me a break and we knew how much Daci would love to see her family.  She misses her grandparents and aunts and uncles SO bad!  She is always asking when she gets to go to "Hootah" again.  So, Rick and Daci headed to the airport at about 5pm on Friday and I have been a free woman ever since!  It has been an incredibly relaxing and productive last few days.  I have been falling asleep reading at night; I haven't done that in years!  I have been doing lots of crafting.  I have been walking around stores, child-free, for hours at a time :)  And, I have been getting the nursery ready! Its been nice to have this time to myself but I am sure missing Rick and Daci a lot!  Now I know how Rick feels when I leave him in 'Cago and take Daci to Hootah :)  Love you two so much and can't wait to have our little family back together!  A special thanks to our awesome families who have done such a GREAT job watching Daci and making her feel so loved.  I'm glad we have such sweet and involved grandparents for our little Daci and soon-to-be twinners!

This is a pic of Rick and I on our anniversary date.  We went to dinner and a movie and I can't believe I haven't posted it yet!  Sure love my hubby!

I'm sure Daci is being just as mischievous as this picture depicts out there in Hootah!

How fun! I sent Jackson off to Utah with John on a business trip and he stayed with my sister for 5 days. He was 16 months old and Jacob had just been born. It was really nice to have 5 days with my new baby but it was so hard to be apart from Jackson too. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time and get lots of rest and projects in!

We had a great day! We watched Finding Nemo and Aristocats, went to the park, took a walk by the creek, played and had a good old time. Daci is doing great. Enjoy your quiet time. I have a feeling you won't be getting any more for quite a while!

Oh I'm so happy for your childless self! I just did the same thing a couple weeks ago. I sent Damon up to Idaho to spend the week with his grandparents. Although I still had Davis at home it was amazing what I was able to accomplish. :)

Enjoy yourself. Love ya and miss ya!

Here's a random story for a random day like today. So my little Girl is in Kindergarten this year and while talking to her teacher she mentioned that she lived in Highland by the golf course. I told her that I knew you from the same neighborhood and asked if she knew you, and she did. She mentioned you were pregnant with twins! CONGRATS! I was very curious to see how you were doing but didn't really know how or where to find you other than Facebook, which is not my favorite. So I was looking at Leilani's blog, totally forgot you were related, but saw "Rick and Kori" and knew it was you. So, I am so happy to see that you are doing well along with your family and soon to be TWINS!! That is so exciting! Well, Have a great day! Don't forget to enjoy this time alone, it may not happen again for YEARS! :)
