Normalcy

I feel like things are getting a little bit back to "normal" around here. Phew!  Not that I don't absolutely LOVE being a mom, but sometimes you just need some things for yourself as well, am I right?!  Last week a girl in the ward held a craft night and since I haven't scrapbooked in 3 1/2 months I jumped at the opportunity to be able to get all my stuff out and have some uninterrupted scrapping time.  My hubby is so sweet and not only let me go, but wanted me to go.  He knows how crazy it is here and I really appreciate that he recognizes that I need some time to do some things for myself as well. I finished 3 two page layouts in the two hours that I was there.  Whoot Whoot!  And then, the babies have been going down between 7 and 8 all week so I have had a few hours at night to veg on the couch, have a movie night with my hubby, or craft!  I can't tell you how much having an outlet is important for me.  Not everyone needs it, but I sure do.  I LOVE being a mom and enjoy the time I spend with my kids.  But I also enjoy the time I have away from my kids too.  I hope that doesn't make me an evil person :)

Here are some layouts I worked on this week.  These along, with some others I am in the middle of, and quite a few digital layouts make me almost completely caught up again!  It feels so good!  You can click on all of them to see them larger.

Layout of their first bath in the hospital
Layout of the first time Daci met the twins
Layout of the birth, I journaled the whole story.  It took up a full page so I will be putting it behind the layout in my book.

A layout of Daci playing in our first snowstorm of the year

And here are some of my digital layouts:
Layout of Family visiting in the hospital
Layout of the twins' first week home
Layout of Livvi's first week at home
Layout of Street's first week at home

I am also really excited to announce that I have entered the 21st century and have an iPhone!!  Whoot Whoot!  It was time for an upgrade and we went for it.  I am in LOVE with it and don't think I will ever be able to go back!  I am especially in love with the Instagram app!  LOVE!  Here are a few random iPhone pics:

My Nakie babies holding hands. Aw!

Street covered in spit up, story of his life!

Drinking her green smoothie

Some of the many faces of Liv.  She is so expressive!  She is also so in love with sucking her fingers lately.

My happy girl

Street has been so much happier lately!  YAY!  He will give me cute little smiles.  This pic cracks me up.  Its like he posed and said, "cheese!"

Daci wearing her princess dress and doing princess puzzles.  She is ALL girl! Love it :)

Street pulls this face a lot.  I think it is hilarious!

Your scrapbooks are so cute! I love being caught up on scrapbooking! i do digital scrapbooks and they are so fun! you are so good at it! I wanted to ask you also...do your babies wake up after 45 minutes? Z wakes up consistently after 45 minutes almost every time so it makes it hard planning a schedule because she'll usually wake up at 45 or will sleep longer. She has a hard time putting herself back to sleep after that. I'll go in and give her a bink and rub her belly but that just gets her excited and she gives me a massive gummy grin and even laughs sometimes like "mommy your funny! you think you are going to put me to sleep?!" anyway...since you are a mommy pro...i need some help! :) although, Z is happy so I'm not TOO concerned...she may just be one of those babes that is happy after 45 minute naps!

so..thanks for your comment! I'm not too stressed about it because she is still really happy and is still growing. When she is up, she is still content so i am able to do anything still. It's obviously different with having 1 kid then 3 though. It's so weird though because when we are away at other people's house she sleeps usually 6-8 hours straight and then wakes up for a quick 10 min feed and goes back to bed for 4 to 6 hours. THen her naps are usually 2 hours. But when we are at our own home she wakes up a lot more. I am not sure if she sleeps good because she sleeps in the same room as us in a crib or on the bed with us when we are away and maybe it's a comfort thing? not sure. she sleeps in her own room now and yea...anyway. I am such a night owl though..I can do pretty good with little sleep. Kev and I rarely go to bed before 1am. I'm sure it will probably change when we have more kids, but we just like staying up late. Well, we'll see how it all goes. As long as my baby is happy and growing then I'm happy! :)
