Riverside BBQ

Daci had her first outing in her swimming suit and doesn't she just look adorable!? We went to the Riverside Country Club BBQ with Rick's family and she had so much fun.

I love the back of her suit and of course I had to get the matching hat!

Grandma Penny has a matching shirt! The funny thing is that it is Daci's favorite shirt of her Grandma Penny's and I didn't even realize I got a swimming suit to match until I put it on her that night!

An update and Five Generations!

We are so fortunate to have five generations living in my family. The crazy thing is that we are all the oldest girls in our family! How cool is that? A few weeks ago it was my GG's (what we call my great-grandma) 90th birthday so we went to celebrate at her house. While we were there we took our five generation photo. I love it and am so glad that Daci has her great-great grandma living. She is my GG so we decided she would be Daci's "3G" :)

Sorry for the lack of posts, our computer is at the "doctors" right now so I haven't been able to post. I have been going crazy so I finally loaded a few pics onto our laptop.

A few updates: Daci is now five months old! Can you believe it? I can't! She is now rolling over and loving playing on her tummy. She sits up in the grass really well because she grasps the grass and balances herself. I think she should be sitting without support soon! She is doing so many cute and funny things. She started giggling last week but she is very stubborn with giving them out. You have to be pretty hilarious for her to even give one giggle. Then, once you find something that makes her laugh so won't ever laugh at it again. She looks at you like, "You've done that before so it isn't funny anymore. Try harder." She is so cute and we are just enjoying every minute with her!

Hopefully when we get our computer back I can post some updated pictures of our adventures over the last month. Love you all!

Happy Father's Day!!!

We just want to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy Father's Day, especially our own dads who are wonderful father's, father-in-law's, and grandpa's! We love you both so much and hope your day is extra special.

Now....I have to wish my sweet husband and wonderful new father his first "Happy Father's Day!" I don't think anyone realizes how great he is with Daci. I swear I have never seen a cuter dad :) He plays with her, holds her, teases her, picks out her outfits and is so concerned with her feelings. She just loves her daddy and when she looks at him it is different than the way she looks at anyone else. Everytime he plays with her I fall more in love with him. Thanks Rick for being everything and more that I could have ever wanted in the father of my child! I love you!




















































Both of our dads...the new Grandpa's... are so wonderful with Daci, and Daci just ADORES them both! She is so at ease in their arms....it must be that they are so big and she just feels secure with them. I love this picture of my dad with Daci, they both fell asleep and I couldn't resist snapping a photo! Daci loves to play with my dad and she falls asleep easily in his arms because he is so nice and toasty warm :) This picture with Daci and Fred describes their relationship perfectly! If ever Daci is upset or fussy Fred just takes her in his arms, holds her close to his body, hums a little tune and walks around with her. She falls asleep almost instantly! If ever I don't know what to do with her I just pass her off to the Grandpas!

Rolling Over!!

Daci is rolling over!!! Well...sorta. Maybe I should say she is starting to roll over. There are quite a few conditions that have to be met before she can. She has to be on the bed and she has to start from her tummy. I can't believe how old she is getting!

Finally!

Since Daci was born she has been a finger sucker but she couldn't quite figure out the thumb sucking thing. Some people may think I'm crazy but I really wanted her to find her thumb! Its so much easier for her to soothe herself with her thumb than it is for me to get up and put the binkie back in when it falls out. This week Daci finally figured out the thumb sucking thing and I have loved it! She is still a little bit uncoordinated with it but it is so cute to watch her! I just love this little munchkin :)

Our little Daci is growing up so fast! We are loving the stage that she is in right now (15 weeks). She has been all smiles lately and I know she wants to share them with you! Rick and I love this silly closed mouth grin... her chubby cheeks are to die for and I love them drool all over her chin :)

This is her huge, gummy, open-mouthed grin. This one is so fun to get! A little giggle usually accompanies this one :)

I love it when Daci first wakes up. She starts yelling and squawking for you to come get her and then once you walk in the room you get this huge grin.

All Tuckered Out!

Last night was Lone Peak's graduation and we went to watch Rick's brother, Sam, graduate. Daci and I got all dressed up and ready to go out to dinner with the Roberts' before the graduation....now all we had to do was wait for dad to get home from school. We took a few pics of the two of us in our pretty dresses while we were waiting :)

Apparently Daci doesn't like to wait. She was crying and fussing in my arms and then all of a sudden she collapsed over my arm. I quickly looked at her face to see if she was okay and she was completely asleep!!! Rick got home a few minutes later and thought it was just hilarious. We snapped a photo of the rag doll.

Rick picked her up to put her in her car seat and she didn't even wake up! She transferred very smoothly :) I just think she is adorable in her daddy's arms!

Getting so big and strong!

Daci loves to play in our big bed. She is getting to the point that she can lift her head all the way up when she is on her stomach and she can also hold her body up in sitting position if propped up against a pillow. Whenever she gets fussy I take her in on our bed to play for a change of scenery. She loves it!

The Big Girl Bed!

A few days ago we moved Daci out of our room where she slept in a little bassinet to her big girl room in her big girl crib. I love just staring at her tiny little body in this big old bed, it makes me feel like she is brand new again. She was getting way too big for her bassinet and it made me feel like she was a lot older than she really is :)

My "Bloggy"!!!

I received my first blog award..I'm calling it my "bloggy" :) I would like to thank my mom for giving it to me, my sweet husband for always supporting my in posting, and my beautiful daughter for giving me such fun material to post about. She's Three Months Old!

This is her new summer outfit...doesn't she look so cute in it? I even caught a picture of her smiling! Getting smiles from Daci is quite the event, she is the most serious baby and we really have to work for a smile but when we get one it is so exciting!

Here is one of the looks she gives us when we are trying to get a smile out of her. Doesn't it look like she is thinking, "Oh my, you guys are so pathetic, that isn't even funny" :)

Wow, how time flies. My sweet little Daci just turned three months old on Saturday and I can't believe how fast the time has gone and how much that cute little thing has grown and changed. These are a few pics that were taken right around her three month mark. Feel free to let me know how cute she is, I never get sick of it :)

My Purple Princess

The other day we went to dinner with some friends of ours from SUU, Megan, Junior and Trey Abrahao. Daci looked so cute in her purple that I just had to snap a few pics :) Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had such a wonderful first Mother's Day! It was also my birthday today so I had a double wammy :) We had a lot of fun going to my parent's house and having dinner with them and also talking to my brother, Easton, who is on a mission in Texas. Then, we went to Rick's aunt's house in South Jordan to visit all of his extended family, most of them haven't seen Daci yet. We both love our moms so much and are grateful to have them in our lives! Happy Mother's Day!

Daci's Special Day!

Her dress was beautiful! It was a long, simple gown with just a satin ribbon around the waist. I think the expression on her face is so cute, she looks bored to tears! :)

I took her dress off and couldn't stand how cute she looked with just her accessories on, I had to snap a few photos!


She has recently "found" her feet and when I took her dress off she discovered the sparkly shoes and was very intrigued by them!


Daci had her blessing day this last Sunday, May 3rd. It was so fun getting her dressed up, I felt like I was getting her ready for prom :) After the blessing we went to Rick's parent's house and had a big luncheon with everyone who came to see her blessed. She was definitely the center of attention all day :) I just think she looked absolutely ADORABLE with her princess dress, her angel headband, her Cinderella shoes, and her sparkly bracelet.
